Memorial for Gary Michael Brumbaugh

May He Rest in Peace, Gary Michael Brumbaugh, 80 years old.

Died: August 25, 2021

Gary Michael Brumbaugh was a loving, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was a very gentle soul who put his traditional Catholic faith and family first. He always wore his wedding ring despite the estrangement from his wife. He never gave up hope to one day reconcile. It was this example, that encouraged his oldest son in realizing his vocation to marriage.

At the beginning of August he developed bi-lateral pneumonia with other complications. After he was admitted into Mason General Hospital's ICU unit his condition worsened especially since the hospital protocol would not allow any visitors. While in the hospital, he prayed one rosary after the other and made the cheerful comment, "I have never prayed so many rosaries in my life!" As he was nearing his final end he tried to make his last sentiments known. All he could do was to verbally tell his son to the best of his ability his final wishes.

Because Gary had no legal recourse or will and was a man of limited means, he was not prepared for death. Therefore, he left the burden on his immediate family. We would greatly appreciate any assistance you can give and we are sure Gary would too. The donations will go towards the funeral and burial arrangements, headstone, Masses for the repose of soul, flowers, and financial bills.

Gary's Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 4th at 9:30am at Holy Redeemer Chapel in Burien, WA. The burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Rathdrum, ID at the City of Mary.
