<div>3 years ago, we officially introduced The Eden River Foundation as the charitable arm of Eden River Co. Through the amazing generosity of the community, friends and family we have been able to raise enough funds to give away over 3000 memorial candles for bereaved parents to light in memory of their little one gone too soon.

<div>When I first started this as a business, I always had on the forefront of my mind that we would use this to honour our Eden River and help other families, particularly those bereaved parents who have experienced the loss of a baby or child. We have mainly outworked this simply through making and giving away memorial candles to these families for the International Wave of Light on October 15th each year- a globally recognised event where candles are lit to acknowledge pregnancy and infancy losses worldwide. All year, we save the profits we have made on other sales to go towards the cost of making and delivering these memorial candles with thousands of candles donated to date over the last 6 years. Unfortunately the business arm itself has been struggling somewhat to stay afloat due to the financial climate, but people’s generosity towards the foundation has meant that we have been able to continue to gift memorial candles to families as the need has come in and that to me, is the most important part of the work I do. Before the launch of this foundation we had been fairly limited in our reach, and had focused mainly on our local area of the Hills District/North Western parts of Sydney. But overall the last last couple of years we were able to reach farther throughout Sydney and beyond. So again, this year, we have the goal to make and donate at least 500 candles in time for this years wave of light on October 15. We cannot do this without your help and would love your support.
