Memorial Bench for Grace Brocklesby

In June 2019, after ongoing battles with her mental health, our beautiful and brave Amazing Grace sadly passed away.

 

On 22.2.22 Grace would have been turning 22. As it's such a meaningful date we are aiming to launch a plan for a memorial bench for our beautiful girl. We hope that it may offer some comfort, help or support to others that might be suffering with their mental health and don't know who or where to turn to.

 

We are currently in talks with Boston Borough Council over possible positions for the bench which will be commissioned out of oak by a very talented local wood sculptor. We hope that this might be in Boston's Central Park. The bench will be hand carved and one of a kind. It's beauty and uniqueness we hope will illustrate just how special Grace was to all who knew her, and how much her memory lives on.

 

The bench will serve as a place for young people to gather but will also have a deeper purpose; alongside it will be a QR code. We hope and anticipate that this code will enable people who may be struggling to find various local help and support that is appropriate for them. We would love for the bench to be ready in time for summer when it can be made the most of.

 

We have already started some fundraising to commission this special project and hope to continue with some additional events which we can share on this page. However we are still some way off our target; if you are in a position to donate to our community cause in memory of Grace, we would be eternally grateful.

 

Your help and support, in anyway, would be much appreciated and will go towards helping support other vulnerable young people in the local community and ensure that Grace's legacy continues to live on.
