Melvin L Cloud Engineering Grant

In 2022, The Cloud Family Foundation kicked off its Melvin L. Cloud Engineering Grant program. This grant will support multiple design competitions in the Central Florida region. This grant ensures k12 students will be able to participate in competitions that introduce them to STEM-related activities and individuals in those fields.

It is becoming increasingly important to introduce STEM to k12 students. The earlier students are exposed to STEM, the more likely they will continue in STEM fields and their probability of success in STEM-related areas.

Melvin L. Cloud is a retired Civil Engineer from Englewood, NJ. Mr. Cloud spent over 20 years with the City of Englewood and is responsible for many of the existing structures in the city. Melvin L. Cloud is a graduate of Dwight Morrow School in Englewood, NJ, advocating for STEM programs across the country.
