Help Melissa get to Paris!

After 4 years of learning like crazy, sleepless nights, and long work shifts, in 2013 Melissa graduated Magna Cum Laude from Marymount Manhattan with a 3.89 GPA. But the journey began even before her college career. Melissa first dreamed of living in NYC at the tender age of 13 after a visit with her family. After graduating highschool with a 3.9 GPA she moved to the city that never sleeps and for 4 years she hardly slept. Melissa worked as much as she could during those years while she attended Marymount Manhattan and recalls months of living off of 3 hours of sleep each night. She never complained about working hard. That brings us to the present. 

Melissa has been accpeted into a Masters program at Columbia University in the Global French Studies program (no big deal). She is being sent to Paris for a year to study (and hopefully eat some croissants)! Student loans can only help so much so we are asking you- family, friends, loved ones, and anyone who values higher education- to donate what you can. Melissa is the hardest-working and most determined person we know, let's send her to Paris with enough cash to focus on her studies and maybe even have a little fun. Feel free to give once now, in 3 months, or give monthly gifts while she's out there. Fundraising will be closed when her year in Paris is over- August 2015. We are trying to raise $500.00 for every month she'll be in Paris- this money will go toward rent, books, travel, and (if there's anything left) food. We're dreaming big, but Melissa is worth it!
