Melissa (Timm) Carlson Family Fund

Very early Monday morning June 19th, 2017, the Carlson family discovered tragic news. Corey Carlson, loving husband to expectant mother, Melissa (Timm,) and father to her 3 precious children: Keagan, McKenna, and Ava, lost his life. Words cannot express the tragedy this family has faced and the loss of a well-loved man.  

Corey and Melissa shared over 12 years together building a life and nurturing a family. Corey was a wonderful father, whether it was coaching his son’s baseball team or teaching his children to fish and hunt. He was also the family’s major financial provider, recently beginning his own custom exterior and remodeling business. More than all that, Corey was Melissa’s best friend and love of her life.

In the wake of Corey’s death, the family is reeling from devastation. Words cannot express the grief and overwhelming heartbreak the Carlson family is feeling. On top of finding a way to carry on without a father to help raise her children and a soulmate to share a life and grow old together, Melissa must also plan for the future of her children including the unborn that will never get a chance to meet their father.

Melissa has touched so many people through her valuable friendship and dedication to the veterinary community. If you know Melissa, you know that she is a strong woman, the family’s rock, perpetually prepared, but no wife and mother should ever have to prepare for this. If you know Melissa, you know that she would never ask for help, so I am reaching out on her behalf.
