Melissa Williams Bonow Memorial Fund

On Friday July 26th, Melissa Williams-Bonow passed from this life after braving a courageous 2-year battle with cancer. While fighting the disease, she continued to be actively involved in her work and her family’s life. In support of her family, she served as president of the Plainfield North Band Boosters and worked as a teacher’s assistant in Plainfield School District 202. Melissa was known as a strong and generous friend and loved by her husband Bill, her daughters Kaela and Hannah, mother Nancy, and brother Leslie.

Melissa was very family focused with lifelong goals always in mind for the future of her girls.  Kaela is entering her senior year at Illinois State University with a goal of becoming a music educator. Hannah is currently working at a local grocery store to help fund a degree in the graphic arts. With the loss of Melissa, our hope, vision and purpose of this donation would be to keep her lifelong goal living.
