On 4/2/19, Melissa H.Finch(my wife)suffered cardiac arrest while at work.EMT performed CPR and rushed her to West Florida ER where she went into cardiac arrest a second time and coded(flatlined)again. These cardiac arrests caused her to have an anoxic brain injury,While in ICU her Dr.discovered she had post influenza pneumonia in her lungs causing a bacterial infection,a blood infection,a UTI,diastolic heart failure(CHF),rhabdomylosis(when muscles start to attack each other) and 3 blood clots in her right arm.
Previous visits to a local hospital for chest pains were tested with EKG's that failed to show any clear reason for the pains.
In her first week in ICU,her Dr's had very little optimism for her to recover.Since then, she has slowly started to show progress from day to day and is in need of extensive medical care and rehabilitation which has quickly amounted to overwhelming medical and financial expenses,in which we are unable to afford.Melissa was given less than 5% chance of making it through this and gratefully, with endless prayers and God's healing, she is still here and fighting every day.She is truly a miracle and we are asking for any assistance that anyone can offer to help with her medical needs. She needs long term medical care and rehabilitation as well as wheelchair ramps and in home handicap modifications on top of the enormous medical expenses that we've already accrued.
Any help is truly appreciated and we are grateful for each and every prayer!
