Hello everyone, My name is Melissa Castro, I am a mother of 2 beautiful children (ages 11 and 16). I am seeking your support to endure a surgery that could help me regain my eyesight. About 14 years ago, I was in a horrific car accident on my way to work for an early shift. This car accident resulted in me going into a coma for a month due to brain swelling. As well as, my optic nerve to be pinched, which has left me to lose my vision. Since my last surgery in 2016, I have been able to gain limited sight where I can see shadows and light blobs. I was able to receive my first round of stem cell surgery to help improve my eyesight more to be able to see colors and shapes close up through my right eye. Luckily, I have been selected to have another round of stem cell surgery, but can not financially cover this operation by myself. I am in need of your support. Sadly, my life completely changed abruptly after the accident. Although, I am grateful to be alive and still get to be there for my kids and family. This surgery could help to regain my independence back and be able to live a better life for me and my children. Any size donation would be much appreciative and sharing my story with other would be a tremendous support for me and my family.
