Melinda's stand against stage 4 breast cancer

Melinda, a 37 year old mother, daughter, sister, aunt, teacher and dear friend, was recently diagnosed with stage 4  HER-2 Positive breast cancer. 
Melinda is a mother of two girls ages 9 and 11.  She is a dedicated 4th grade teacher who is terribly affected by the thought of having to leave her students so suddenly.  She is not one to ask for help as she is constantly caring for others. Family and work mean everything to her.  

  We are raising money for our beloved friend as she received the devastating news that it is an aggressive form of breast cancer.  Her cancer has metastasized to her liver and spine.  She will begin chemotherapy January 29th.  Melinda will be receiving treatments for the next several months.  Due to the chemotherapy, she will be unable to work. 

Our hope is to raise money to help Melinda and her 2 girls during this difficult time. We would like to do all that we can to help alleviate the financial burden placed on her and her family. 

We have had several requests from family, friends and acquaintances asking how they can help, and this is a great way to contribute to her road to recovery.
