Melbourne For Life!

Melbourne currently holds the unenviable world record for the most days under Lockdown. Our healthcare workers and first responders have worked tirelessly to keep the community safe, while the hospitality industry has taken a catastrophic hit.

100% of all funds raised* will be used to purchase meals from Melbourne for Life restaurant partners and enable 5 hospitality works to return to work for that day. Our goal is to provide a minimum of 100 - 150 meals every day from each Melbourne for Life! restaurant partner.

Melbourne for Life! has a twofold goal of providing meals at zero cost, from our restaurant partners to our healthcare warriors and those suffering financial hardship or declining health, while simultaneously providing essential work to the chefs and kitchen staff who are the backbone of Melbourne’s hospitality industry, and who have felt the full wrath of these continuing and extended lockdowns.

Funds will be withdrawn by Saul Miller owner of Rare Steakhouse Group, and founder of Melbourne for Life!.
These funds will be used to pay partner Restaurants including Berth Docklands, Rare Steakhouse Midtown and Project Foods, to prepare meals at cost including labour, and then supplied at no charge to our Frontline Nurses and Doctors, as well as those who have financial pressures as a result of the Pandemic.

To date over 2000 meals have been provided to Anglicare Victoria, Theodoras's Cheerful Givers as well as Monash Clayton's ICU, Emergency Dept and Covid Wards.
