Melba Nacht's Memorial Fund

So many people were blessed with the opportunity to know Melba Nacht!

Melba faced much hardship in her life, but you would never know it by the way she gave back to others! She loved people just the way they were but also challenged them to grow, have integrity and live out their faith in Jesus.

She brought people together, held to her convictions, embraced servanthood and taught her children to do the same. She loved her husband and her kids more than any other humans (in her words “the most beautiful, brilliant, talented, amazing people to ever walk this earth!”) She put them first in all things and sacrificed her career and financial gain to “raise them up in the way they should go” (Pro. 22:6).

The last several years her husband, Mike, and son, Everett, both faced major, life-threatening medical issues. Melba was by their side supporting them through these challenges. She was planning to start back to work (after being a stay-at-home mom) to support her two children (Jesse, 21 and Everett, 19) through college, but her health failed suddenly.

On Sunday, December 29, 2019, Melba was admitted to the hospital with heart issues and high blood pressure. On Tuesday, she was taken in for heart surgery and afterwards was placed on life support after suffering several strokes. On Friday, January 3, Melba passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family and some of her closest friends and relatives. Melba requested to not be kept on life support. She always said, “I don’t want anyone holding me back on getting there (heaven) as soon as I can.” And so she has.

As a way of honoring Melba’s memory, you are invited to help financially support the Nacht family. Mike is facing the combined high costs of medical bills, funeral expenses and college tuition. Melba lived modestly, but faithfully, always trusting God to provide. While we can’t change the events of life, we can make circumstances more manageable for the family. If you feel compelled to give, please donate through the Go Fund Me or send a donation directly to the family in memory of Melba.
