Melanie's Fight

We all have that one friend who is the life of the party. Says whatever comes to mind at any given time. That one friend who is sad but contiues to smiles. Who cares more about making other people happy than herself. That friend for me, for alot of people, is Melanie! The best Mother, Daughter, Friend andNurse anyone could ask for. I have learned so much from her working by her side. I have seen her care for people at thier worst. Now its time for us to take care of her. A few months ago she was diganosed with Ovarian Cancer.  Just hearing that word CANCER... The room stands still and the sounds around us all become quite. How could this be she is beautiful, healthy, happy, intelligent! This isnt supposed to happen. Not to anyone but not to her. This was just the beginning of a long road ahead. After multiple surgerys she was told it has spread and is aggressive. With not many options available she started Chemo soon after. She is now on her 3rd round of about 6. The medical bills are starting to pile up. A single mother tring to stay afloat. Tring to pay the rent, power, groceries, now on top of it all medical bills. Working 40 hours a week and even12 hour days. All while going through Chemo. She may be walking slow, in pain, wearing a mask, with a warm blanket around her tummy to try to help the pain BUT SHE STILL HAS A SMILE. That same smile we all know her by. This hasnt stopped her and I know it wont. She is one heck of a fighter and we refuse to give up. We refuse to let this win. So please please please help Melaine fight this. Let her see she isnt alone. Let her see we care and love for her. Doesnt need to be much, anything will help. I want her to be able to take a break from work and not have to work 40 hours every week!
