Help us send this beautiful family on a trip they will never forget!
As many of you are aware, Rob has been battling brain cancer for several years. In late September Rob's MRI showed a significant growth in the tumor. At that time his doctors placed him on a 6 month regimen of intravenous chemotherapy. We remain unsure what course the doctors will take following this 6 month period.
Rob's faith in the face of this trial is a witness to all of us who know and love the Meiwes family. Not surprisingly, Rob has expressed a desire to spend this time helping others and savoring every minute with those he loves, his friends and family.
Rob, LoriAnne, and their children, Drew and Ally, live in Denton, TX, attend St. Mark Catholic Church, and are very active members of the community. In addition to the countless hours they've generously and joyfully given to various causes in the Denton area, Rob serves as an officer and active member of the Knights of Columbus Council #12553, and both he and LoriAnne have attended and served on several ACTS Retreats.
Ally is a bright and energetic young girl. She is currently in 3rd grade at Immaculate Conception Catholic School in Denton. Drew , who is in the 8th grade, attends Harpool Middle School where he plays football. As you might imagine, this illness has and will continue to have a lasting effect on the Meiwes family.
In an effort to overshadow any difficult and painful memories they may encounter these next few months as Rob battles his illness, we have started a campaign in hopes to bring them bright and happy memories. Our goal is to raise $10,000, enough to send them on a worry free, fun for all, joy filled vacation.
