On Friday September 8th our family suffered a difficult life changing event. My husband Austin was involed in a head on multi-vehicle car collision. The injuries suffered by my husband as a result of the accident have left him hospitalized since the day of the accident. He was diagnosed with a concussion, soft tissue trauma, multiple contusions to his hips and pelvis and severe swelling and brusing to his left leg. Austin is still undergoing physical and occupational therapy to regain strength in his hips and left leg. However, at this time Austin is only able to walk short distances with direct assistance.
Due to the severity of the head on collision, we have not only lost our family's only vehicle, but have also incurred the many financial burdens associated with the accident (towing/storage fees, insurance deductables, medical bills, etc.)
Austin's injuries and their associated recovery times leave it unknown when he will be able to return to work Austin is a baseball coach with an orginization in El Segundo, a job which will require a potentially lengthy rehabilitation period in order to return at 100%
With Austin unable to work, the entirety of our families financial obligations (inlcuding those newly incurred through the accident) come to rest on my single income as a server, which is why we are asking for your help in this trying time
Our family consists of myself (Katie), Austin and my son Christian (Austin's Step Son). We are worried about the real possiblity of the loss of our home, as well as the inablility to be able to afford the cost of medical bills, household bills, and the increase in cost to commute to and from my job, which is currently our only source of income
We are reaching out and humbling asking for your help during this trying time, Any and all donations raised by this page will go directly to keep the stability of our household intact. We understand that times are difficult finacially for some, and that not all who would like to will be able to help us monitarily. Your prayers and well wishes are generously accepted and are important in helping maintain our familiy's resolce
