MEET MEHO!
Meho Galijasevic is a 5 year old kindergartner residing in Glen Allen, Virginia. He lives with his parents, Sedin & Samija Galijasevic, his older sister, Ayla, and his grandmother. Meho has been the family’s biggest joy and blessing for the past five years.
Early November of 2017, Meho was diagnosed with severe Aplastic Anemia, a disease in which the bone marrow does not make enough blood cells for the body. The body needs three types of blood cells: red bloods cells to carry oxygen; white blood cells to fight infections; and platelets to control bleeding. Unfortunately, Meho's body isn’t producing any of these.
Meho is being treated at the VCU Medical Center, where he has a team of doctors, nurses, and medical students helping him get better. Meho has gone through aggressive chemotherapy and continues to receive blood transfusions and is need of a bone marrow transplant.
The only thing that can help relieve Mehos suffering at this time is ongoing medical treatments. The family continues to put all of their life savings into the treatments that Meho is receiving. We are asking for your help in order to continue the fight and improve Meho's quality of life. We thank you in advance for any help that you are able to provide.
