Podcasting ain't cheap...
We love making Megaten Marathon , the Shin Megami Tensei and Persona podcast, and Combo Chain , a JRPG "book club" podcast, and know that a lot of you love the shows as well. But putting out two podcasts is a pricey venture, especially for a bunch of underemployed and/or working-class folks.
So we're asking you, our listeners, to help cover our costs for the next year of podcasts—plus we have early release exclusive episodes for donors!
Podcast hosting is expensive, as is the online recording software that lets us record high-quality audio with one another and guests across the world.
Here's a little breakdown of the yearly costs:
Hosting - $324
Domain registration - $26
Remote recording software - $216
But this is a pledge drive! Which means we have special giveaways:
If you donate $5 or $10, we'll send you exclusive early-release episodes, which won't be released publicly for the next few months:
Donate $5 and get the Combo Chain episode about The World Ends With You, the game that started an entire sub-genre of JRPGs set in modern-day Tokyo.
Donate $10 and get both The World Ends With You episode, as well as a Megaten Marathon deep-dive on Persona 5 Royal—what's changed in the new version, how it's turned out, and how we feel about the game as a whole with a few years of perspective.
