Megan’s Head Shave for a Cancer Cure

Tax deductible
So, this has been something I’ve been thinking about for a long time and I’m not really sure what’s held me back, but after a year and more of lockdowns, uncertainty and craziness I decided, this is the year - the end of 2021.

My inspo for this is my cousin Dave, who is devastatingly no longer walking the earth with us, but I know will have a good laugh (at me) doing this, but at the same time would be supporting me 100%. He passed away from Brain Cancer, after having numerous operations and many years fighting it.
I, like I am sure many others I am sure, have lost family members and friends to cancer; all different types of it and all of them taken way too soon.

I have been blessed to inherit my thick and curly hair from my dads side of the family and so, as it is one of my favourite things about myself I thought - why not use it to make a difference in this crazy world and bring some hope to those that need it!
Hair is like a security blanket, it’s very hard to imagine yourself without it and it’s something that a lot of us take for granted really.

So, to raise money - I’m going to shave my head, all of it gone!

Before I do the shave, I’ll be donating my long locks to help create wigs for those that are going through chemotherapy, or for other reasons have lost their hair. I myself lost a lot through my eating disorder and the fact that I got healthy meant it grew back - something not everyone has the luxury of.

So, the point of all this of course, is to raise a heck of a lot of money to donate to the CC so that we can one day rid the world of cancers, or at least find out more about them so we can find cures for each!

I’ll be shaving my head on New Year’s Eve, as long as I’ve raised over $5,000 - I want to make a difference!

Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
