Megan LaTurner’s Leukemia Battle

My Wife Megan was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) on 8/9/2018 at the age of 32. We are all still digesting this, trying to wrap our minds around it. Apart from having (ALL) she was Diagnosed with Crohn’s disease and Endometriosis in 2001, had an Illiostomy in 2012, and a hysterectomy in May of 2018. This amazing woman is nothing short of a fighter. Megan is a loving mother, wife, and daughter.  We all have a long tough road ahead of us. There’s not a single spread of doubt that Megan will give her all to defeat this. 

Forthe next Month she will remain admitted to the oncology ward. Where she will undergo an aggressive chemotherapy regimen, then additional inpatient chemotherapy treatments and in the extended future a stem cell transplant. Which will require a trip to IU Medical Center in Bloomington. As for right now we are going Day by day. Making her as comfortable, and loved everyday. 

Megan and I have been married 4 years and together 6. She is the love of my life. Our road has been rough with her health, but there’s no doubt we have always grew stronger because of these adversities. Megan has always wanted to be a mother,but was always told she would never have kids due to her endometriosis. We were blessed in 2014 with our son. He is the twinkle in her eye. Besides being an amazing mother, Megan enjoys time with our family, concerts, dogs, and relaxing.
