Megan's Medical Help Fund

My daughter Megan suffered a traumatic brain injury 19 years ago while playing capture the flag in grade school.  Because of her being knocked unconscious and brain swelling with brain bleeding she  spent a week in the hospital in intensive care in excructiating pain.  At the time we all thought this would be the worse she would feel.  We couldn't be more wrong.  As the years progressed, so has the pain level.  Megan's symptoms are 24/7 severe headache or migraine, short term memory loss, blurred vision, chronic insomnia, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, severe nausea due to pain and much more.

After years of trying to go to school or have a job and having to quit each one due to the pain that wouldn't allow her to leave the house, it was determined by a judge that Megan was 100% disabled.   As a family we have spent a lot of time , 1000's of miles driving and money trying to find someone to help her.  Pain specialists, neurologists, accupuncture, botox, chiropractors. every drug imaginable never finding any real relief.  Then just recently we heard of a certified brain specialist in Reno that has good results in helping TBI sufferers have a more manageable life.  In fact the Dr suffered one himself and can relate to everything Megan has been suffering with for years.

With medical bills piling up, and now the need to drive to Reno to see this Dr and  the chiropractor specializing in atlas alignment (the top of the spine where it attaches to the head) her finances are in a critical state.  We are praying this Go Fund Me page will allow her to continue this treatment.  Thank you everyone.
