HELP JUMPSTART MEGAN'S CAREER

Donation protected

Hello all, and thanks for clicking! I am just a worried mother(Brenda) who is trying her best to help her only child carve out a future for herself.  My daughter, Megan Adkins, plans on going to Graduate school as soon as possible in East Tn.  Graduating as a  undergraduate with a degree in Psychology, she wants to pursue a Masters in Counseling. Unfortunately, as many of us know, parents & students are having an extremely hard time securing money for college. For undergraduate it can be difficult, but getting State or Federal funding for Graduate programs do not exist to our knowledge as colleges have told us. So what I am getting to is that she needs HELP. Now let me explain. Even with help for her undergraduate career, Meg still had to go over $19,000.00 in debt. Combine that financial stress with her medical bills (ER visits, MRI'S, Dr. visits, a  Nerve Study Tests due to a mystery illness, blood tests and etc.) and the weight of finances took its toll. Different doctors yielded different arthritis, neuropathy and even lupus. She definitely has some sort of a connective tissue problem.  Along with battling depression/apathy and boots of anxiety since along the 9th grade.Megan is such a smart and beautiful girl, and I'm not just saying this as her mother. She came out of undergraduate with a 3.48 GPA, only making one "C" her college career, with a part-time job and 15-17 hrs a semester, I can't imagine what she went through, her dad and I are so proud of her. She is trying to find work, but has had no luck and has not been able to save any money since her Graduation this December.
My husband and I would move mountains for Megan, but as I am disabled, I receive only a small monthly check. My husband works extremely hard at his job. But all his money goes to the everyday living expenses, and daily living. Over the years our own small savings has unfortunately went away due to life situations, emergenies, helping Meg with her college. And Megan living with us does increase things abit. But that is what parents do because we are here for our children.
We have heard many thing about fund-raising sites and about miracle stories. We all know that it is a long shot, but it is our las shot of securing even a little money for our daughter. Megan is the reason we get out of bed in the morning and she is bigger than our pride.  Don't we all need a miracle in our lives right now?

Thank you for taking the time to read Meg's story.
God Bless you now and always .......
Brenda Adkins.
