Megan Shrewsbery-A Beautiful Soul

Donation protected
Monday night, Megan ruptured her esophagus resulting in a 5 INCH TEAR that became critical to repair.   While the ultimate goal is to get her back to her specialist in Cincinnati, OH, she had to be treated in Charleston, WV because she would not have survived being transported. During surgery, the surgeon removed a GALLON of infectious fluid from her chest cavity and had to repair her esophagus by inserting a stent, stitching it up, and then adding tissue from her chest to act as a patch.

Megan was diagnosed several years ago with Eosinophilic Esophagitis which is the result of too many white blood cells in the esophagus. This is the result of your body over-responding to an allergen. Approximately 1 in every 10,000 has this form of esophagitis.

She remains in critical but stable condition at CAMC Memorial.  She  is in the fight of her life and Lord willing, when the time is right, she will need to be seen in Cincinnati as the repairs that have been done, are NOT permanant!!

This has not only become a fight for her health and life, but now a financial burden that she cannot afford to bare.  Please donate whatever you can, share this with as many as you can, and pray that God leads this battle! Megan is a beautiful soul, a wonderful mother, daughter, sister, friend, and one of the most unselfish people you could ever meet! She is a provider to Noah and Bethany,  the Retail Manager at Adventures on the Gorge, and uplifting person.
