Help George to walk again

My name is Jenny and I live in Tring, Hertfordshire with my 3 children and our beloved French Bulldog George and our cat Luna.
Over the weekend George was under the weather and I had to take him to see the vet on Sunday. They gave him an antibiotic and painkiller injection and allowed me to bring him home.
I returned to the vets on Monday morning for George to have blood tests and x-rays. I received a call from the vet a couple of hours later to say that George had rapidly deteriorated and could I pick him up and take him to a specialist vet an hour away.
By the time we got there George had completely lost the use of his back legs.
The vet was so concerned about his rapid deterioration. He then whisked him away and checked him over. We had to stay in the car park due to Covid.
He came out with some consent forms as George needed an MRI and Surgery on his spine.
We made our way home through the tears.
I received the call last night to say that we do not know if George would be paralysed in his rear legs, he is only 3 years old. The vet said they operated on his spine and described it to me as jam donuts, that all the jam has come out of.!!
He has called again this morning to say we are not out of the woods but George is doing better than what he hoped.
He still not eating but that is understandable with the trauma he has been through.
I do have Insurance but as many will have realised, doesn't come anywhere close to covering the costs for everything? this is a hard lesson learnt.
I would really appreciate it if you could find it in your hearts to help me and my kids out to get our baby home. This house is not the same with out my beloved baby boy. Those who know me, know what an emotional support this dog is to me. He is my baby .
