Meagan's Trip to Liberia, Africa

I have the opportunity to go to Liberia, Africa! At the end of September, I will be leaving on a two-week trip. Four amazing women of God and I will be helping with three different women’s conferences being put on by Petals of Hope International (founded by Beth Weedor). We’re estimating to reach several hundred women. Here’s an excerpt from Petals of Hope:
“Beth Weedor is one instrument that God is using to redeem girls in Liberia. She is a former Muslim from Liberia where women are devalued, abused, mutilated, and rejected. This stems from a culture that considers women as property of men, first their father’s property and then their husband’s property. Orphans are exploited by predators who sell them into sex trafficking. Girls are subjected to female genital mutilation. Young ladies trade sexual favors for good grades in school. None of this is seen as unacceptable behavior in Liberian culture. But Beth Weedor stands in opposition to these cultural atrocities. She has started a ministry to girls called Petals of Hope. She envisions them as becoming beautiful blossoming flowers with hope for a better future. Thus, the name Petals of Hope came to be.”
What an honor to be a part of these conferences this organization is putting on. As you probably know, I want to spend my life as a missionary (I feel God called me to this assignment during my first trip to Peru in 2013 and has confirmed this call many times since). I’m regularly reminded that this call is not just for me. I’m just one piece of the puzzle. There are the supporters, the prayer warriors, the administrators, the local churches and communities. All of us have a role to serve God and expand his kingdom here on earth. Wherever you fit, thank you for your role!
For me, this trip will cost $3,000. I would like to ask if you would be willing to pray for me and donate financially if you are able.
The deadlines are: September 1: $1,500 and September 15: $3,000 (total). Donations will still be able to be recieved until we leave Sept 27th
