Meg Frammosa’s fight against breast cancer

Donation protected
I’ve known Meghan for over 23 years. During that time, I’ve consistently been impressed by her ability to make a life and deal with anything that has come her way. She and her wife have lived simply and joyfully.

In early 2020, pre-pandemic Meghan made the decision to change careers in order to be of service to others. She got certified as an EMT, and found the job she loved right at the front lines of those who needed her most. Things were looking great!
Then, in April, Meghan felt a painful lump in her breast. She immediately called her doctor, but due to the pandemic they could not offer her an appointment until May 2020. She unfortunately learned that at the age of 30, she had Stage 3 breast cancer. To say this came as a complete shock is an understatement. She just had her annual breast exam January 2020. Her cancer had spread to her lymph nodes and after chemo she will ultimately have a double mastectomy.

Her employer stepped up and told her to go get treated and they will work with her the best they can. Meghan worked as much and as often as she could through the summer and into the fall standing at the front lines fighting COVID-19.

Unfortunately her chemo treatments have now increased to weekly, and she can no longer work through the treatments. Due to the increase in chemo, her side effects are more severe, and her immune system is critically compromised. Throughout all of this, her wife has taken on all the expenses that come with co-pays, doctor visits, many medications, travel into the city, along with their regular household bills.
I’m opening this GoFundMe to support Meghan through the end of this year and into next so she can focus on her treatment, surgery, and recovery. Her prognosis is good, and we are all praying for a full recovery. Meghan is excited about returning to wellness and more importantly back to work, but right now her full time job is enduring these brutal treatments that will hopefully get her well.
I want to raise $20,000 to ensure Meghan can afford medical care, medication, transportation, food, housing, and bills throughout her treatment and recovery. I am doing this on her behalf because anyone who knows Meghan knows she is a diligent and tireless worker. More importantly I’m doing this because I know my Bestfriend struggles to ask for help. Watching her these last few months, I have finally decide to step in and ask for help on her behalf so that she can return to work in the new year!

Right now though, she needs us. I hope you’ll join with me to support Meghan through her healing. She’s been a loyal, loving, trustworthy, friend and a caregiver to so many of us. Let’s pitch in to help her out in her time of need.

We will post weekly updates on Meghan progress and treatment. Thank you all in advance for your love and support!

As an EMT she helps the community and now she needs help from the community. Please consider donating and sharing.
