Medusa Salon has been a part of the Park Slope community since 1998. As a women owned business the odds of staying afloat for more than 5 years is 50%. I take great pride in serving this community, a community in which I lived and raised my children as a single parent. A community that I love and have been part of since 1987. A community that I thank for its continual support and loyalty over the years.
We rely on our clients for their business and over the years have built genuine and sincere friendships during the past 2 decades. COVID-19 was an unforeseen and devastating virus that has crippled many lives and the economy. We are asking our community to lend help in anyway possible so we can keep our business open and get through this.
We have a tremendous amount of overhead including a very high rent to pay. We are mandated to close our business and now we are unable to generate income in order to pay existing and current bills.
Any donation small or large, will help with operational costs and offer some financial relief.
I am concerned for my employees, many of whom are sole supporters of their families who now have no income. I am concerned for myself and my family whom I am the sole supporter and now have no income.
A substantial low interest loan from our government could save our business and help give us hope for a future. Until or unless we receive some financial support or assistance from our government this could have a devastating effect on our communities.
So while we wait on SBS and SBA government programs we are asking for your support. Any donation would mean the absolute world to us. In spite of this being a sad time we look forward to opening again and seeing smiles on everyone’s faces.
