Medivac home for Louis Collier

As many of you know, our fun-loving and comical brother and son Louis was found unresponsive in his room at his workplace in Schefferville, QC and was flown by medivac to Quebec City on Thursday, November 28. Initially the doctors thought he might have had a stroke, but further tests revealed that he is in a coma due to severely low blood sugar. Since that time, he has remained unresponsive and continues to require a breathing tube as he is unable to breathe on his own. His sisters are currently in Quebec City with him and are meeting with the doctors on a daily basis. We continue to have hope that he will recover and we want him to be home with family when he regains consciousness. The doctors are trying to arrange to medivac him back to St. John’s in the coming days. Unfortunately, the cost of flying him home is not covered by MCP or his insurance. We have started this Go Fund Me campaign to help us with the nearly $30,000 cost to bring him home. Any extra funds raised above the cost of the transfer will be used towards his future care and rehabilitation. We appreciate very much the comments his many friends have posted on his Facebook page and by Messenger and that everyone is keeping him in their thoughts and prayers.
