For those of you who don’t know. James has been struggling though many health issues starting in April of 2021. After suffering many debilitating symptoms and many test James was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease. Melissa and James spent the evening of their 10 year wedding anniversary being transported to the hospital as James was in horrific pain and it has not stopped since then. James has been admitted to the hospital 3 times and undergone treatments to help. However, instead of helping the treatment caused an allergic reaction causing James to have surgery last week. In this operation last week they removed slightly over 2 feet of his intestines, it was successful but it’s not over yet. He has a long road to recovery and wellness ahead. This has been an extremely difficult time for this family, he has been out of work since mid April 2021. Many of his treatments and medications have not been covered by insurance. Thousands of dollars out of pocket. He will start another round of injections in September which will likely be out of pocket as well. He will not be able to return to work for quite some time.

Melissa has continued to work, pay bills, go to doctors appointments with James transporting to and from many times. Also being a great Mom to Connor durning all of this. She never complains and is always so incredibly positive. Although I know the stress of this is undoubtedly starting to wear on her and James. The hospital and medical bills are starting to stack up.

I would love for us to pull together as friends and family and help ease the burden a little for this beautiful family. I would love for Melissa to be able to focus on work, caring for James and enjoying Connor’s senior year. Instead of having to worry about how to pay for his next medications, or pay the mortgage. Just a little help on our part can go so far to reduce stress for this family.
