Medically unable to work after 30yr

This is all new to me and I am having a hard time finding help and getting along. I have been out of work since April 2018.  For 30 years 12 to 15 hours days I was a hard working Husband, Father, Man. I became ill and have had multiple strokes. I am now medically limited. My household has lost 75% of its income. I am un-eligible for work and Florida has denied un-employment due to my inability to be rehired by Florida law.  My wife is working her butt off but its not enough to support us. I am mentally capable but not physically. Does anyone know how frustrating that is.  I know the Government system has help and I went to them first. But they say because my wife has a job and makes over 15k a year we are disqualified. I don't understand, I've worked hard my entire life to point that is has wore and broke my body down. I can't do it anymore. I pay my taxes and never complain about how our money is used to help others, even when I don't agree because that's the system in place. I go for help and then told I have to be dirt floor poor and completely broke to get assistance. That it won't help me as I go through difficult times but only after I am ruined. It makes no sense.  I've filed for Social Security Disability but that is up to a two year process, and you can't have a job while applying for on disability because you will be disqualified. I reach out for help to every place I can think of or was referred to like the United Way.  Food banks only have the food I can't eat. It's all processed and full of sodium and preservatives, its all part of my can't eat that list. I reach back out to United Way and they send all over just to hear I am not bad off enough yet. But I do my part and I go through the list and get no help. Call the United Way back and they send me here. tell me to set up a go fund me page. I have a young son in school that is court ordered,  a wife working hard. I'm in a place that I am loosing my home and cars. I am ashamed of my place in life as a man. But I have no other options to ask for help here in public. Talk about humbling yourself, but my families well being is more important then my pride. So here I am asking for help, because this is only place left. If a lady that goes to the U.S. Senate can get over 600,000 in free help and shes a doctor whom still has a job.  Why can't a average unknown forgotten get help too. Forgotten because the system in place is not here to help me stop falling, but to ensure I completely fall, completely fail and then it tries to helps after its too late. I can't wait until its too late and then hope a system I can't trust will help me and my family.  You politicians want a campaign charity to promote here I am.
