Our friend, Hollie Godfrey, has been struggling with her health for well over a decade. Now they are saying surgery will be needed and not only the medical bills, surgery costs, recovery costs, etc... She is self-employed and will be unable to do her hard labor
In 2009 Hollie’s health began to decline. Pain, fatigue, brain fog, and changes in her mental and emotional well-being, left her seeking help from a long list of specialists. Doctors have been unable to provide definitive answers and recently told her besides prescribing pain medication, they don’t know what else can be done. However, it was recently brought to her attention the breast implants she received in 1999 could very well be the cause of her extended 9-year illness. The symptoms of Breast Implant Illness very much describe what Hollie has and is experiencing. In 2012, genetic testing showed Hollie was positive for an antigen that causes the body to negatively react to silicone. Unfortunately the connection to the implants was missed until now. Wanting to regain her physical, mental, and emotional health, Hollie immediately consulted with several qualified surgeons to have her implants permanently removed. Although she has medical insurance, it has a substantial deductible. Her out of pocket expense is $6000. Hollie is always willing to help, whether it be a friend or stranger. We would very much like to return her years of selfless love and kindness and help her with the cost of her out of pocket expense and possibly lost income while she recuperates. Her health deteriorates a little each day so if you are able to help financially or by sharing her story, we would be forever grateful. She tries each day to stay active but is getting harder for her to do that. Please help us give Hollie hope for a continued life full of physical, mental, and emotional health.
