Medical Mission to Zambia

God doesn't call the prepared; He prepares the called.
I am a firm believer in the fact that God is going to lead you where you are meant to be. No matter the personal reservations, no matter the potential financial burden...God will form the path you are meant to walk on. Last May, I was lead to be a student on a healthcare focused study abroad in South Africa. I feel in love with the country, the people, and their unbelievable testament of faith. I knew God had guided my steps to South Africa throughout every second in order share His love and my passion for healthcare. The trip was truly life changing. I didn't know if I would ever receive the opportunity to return, but I knew wherever I would end up, it would be in God's plan.
Recently, I've felt a similar call. A pull on my heart strings due north just enough to make me want to pursue its direction. This spiritual calling isn’t leading me north…but rather across the ocean 8,000 miles away back to Africa. But this time...to Zambia.
I, alongside two other Western Michigan University Nursing students, have been accepted into a medical volunteer program based out of Livingstone, Zambia. I will be stationed there for two weeks this upcoming June The program is through International Volunteer HQ; it is known to be the most affordable international volunteer company. Although, it can still seem daunting.
I am reaching out to all of you asking for your support. Many of you have come alongside me and my God sized dreams before. Please consider doing it again.
I've included a breakdown of the total costs below:
Registration fee: $300
Program fee: $480
Medical material fee: $100
Travel Insurance: $130
Visa: $80
Airfare: $1,300
Total costs: $2,390 (estimate)
