Medical Trip - Kolkata, India

Hello friends and family!

I am excited to share that this upcoming November I will be headed to Kolkata, India to volunteer on a 2 week long medical mission trip!

I will be volunteering in conjunction with the Kolkata City Mission , whose mission is to focus on physical, economic and social needs of those in poverty. KCM takes a holistic approach to improve the lives of those most in need in Kolkata, West Bengal.

This trip is of extra meaning to me given my mom and dad grew up in Kolkata, most of my family resides there, and it is in every definition of the word my home. 

With plans to run medical clinics in the slums of Kolkata and nearby villages, we need to raise enough funds to be able to purchase enough medication, hire medical equipment, pay for in-country staff, etc. 


This is where you come in. I am hoping to raise $3000 to put towards funding the supplies needed to make this trip a success. Whether you can donate 50 cents or $10, every cent matters and 100% of your donations will go towards helping those in need in Kolkata. 

As I work towards becoming a physician myself, I am hopeful to play a large role in this trip from translating for physician staff, learning more about treating patients from diverse backgrounds, and providing medications and resources to those in need.

Ultimately, I most definitely need your help to make this dream a reality, and am so excited and thankful to have the opportunity to partake in my next medical volunteer trip abroad.
