Medical transport to the dentist.

As many of you know my dad, Brian, was hit by a car 3 years ago and has experienced many medical challenges since the accident. An unexpected reality that he has had to face is his teeth began to fall out! Health complications following the accident exacerbated dental problems that he already had.

Because my dad is such a high-risk dental patient, my mom searched high and low and was finally able to find a dentist that would care for him. It was also challenging to find the specialized transportation that my dad needs to-and-from the dentist, since the dentist is in the next town over from his nursing center, and in a very rural county.

My mom has only found one transportation option and it seems to be a good fit. The driver of the van is also a certified nursing assistant and is able to help my dad if he starts having any kind of medical issues, which is wonderful. In order to complete the extensive dental work that my dad needs, the dentist has a treatment plan for him that includes ten office visits. Thankfully, the dental work is covered by his insurance, but his specialized transportation is not.

Our family would be hugely appreciative if you would be willing to help with transportation costs, which are about $250.00 per trip for ten trips to-and-from the dentist. Thank you for considering helping my dad with his much-needed dental care and for taking the time to read this!
