Medical Transport Help For Tim

Donation protected
Hello all,
On July 17 2015 my husband Tim got sick with an infection that turned septic. He was sent to St Johns Hospital in Tulsa where they took great care of him and managed to get his infection under control. Afterwards he was sent to a Long term acute care hospital where he could rehabilitate. While he was there he started having anxiety issues and was given a drug called Ativan. We were unaware that he was allergic to the drug and he suffered difficulties with his breathing. After his CO2 levels got to 103 it was the hospitals desicion to put him on the ventilator. When they started intubation he coded twice. For the next 4 weeks he was in a coma until they figured out that his kidneys were not filtering the medicines out of his body. Once dialysis was started he woke up and we were able continue with treatments. After 6 months in this facilty he was then sent to a nursing home in Arkhoma Okla where he was able to come off the ventilator.

The HUGE problem that I have been facing with each facility that he has been in is the lack of physical therapy.  I got him back to Tulsa and he got yet another infection that landed him in the hospital.  After being sent to a total of 12 different nursing homes and hospitals and long acute care hospitals he has been bedridden and neglected as far as physical therapy goes except for 1 place.
A place in Muskogee worked with him for 7 weeks and got him out of bed and into this position. After a year and a half of being in the bed he was contracted to the point that he could not scratch his nose or feed himself. This facility showed that it was possible. MY new problem is that he is no longer getting this type of help and we are having to transfer him to California in order to get him descent physical therapy so that I can bring him home. I have called several places to get quotes to transfer and I literally shocked at how expensive it is. The insurance will not cover it due to seeing it as a "non medical" situation.  I am just trying to get my husband home with me so that we can live our lives they way we need. One of the main problems is that the state of Oklahoma has only 1 facility that will handle someone in Tims condition. That is why we are heading to California. I will be leaving for California myself on the 30th of this month and I am trying to get enough money so that he can come with me.  Any help will be appreciated.

Anything I receive will go to transporting Tim either by medical RV or plane. The medical RV is asking 12k and the plane 23k. So I will be sticking with the RV. Due to a bedsore that he has received over the 2 years of being in bed he is unable to handle a simple car ride. These options allow him to stay in bed for the 33 hour transfer (or 3 hours on plane) and it will be easier for him to cope. IF anyone knows of cheaper solutions than please let me know. I would like my husband to be in California waiting for me and would love to see him walking again. Anything will help. Thanks
