Medical Support for Captain Casey Northcutt, APD

This fundraiser is for Casey Northcutt, a Captain of the Ada Police Department, where he has worked for 25 years. He has a wife, a father, 3 children, 3 grandchildren, and many other loving family members and friends. He cares a lot about his hometown and is a loving soul.

Unfortunately, Casey suffered an accident on January 30, 2023 during a fall due to icy weather conditions while walking into work at the Police Department.

When he fell, he was was knocked unconscious for several minutes. When he woke up, he experienced paralysis in both arms and legs. He was unable to get up on his own, and so he called for help.

Once he was found a few minutes later, the Ada Police called for an ambulance once they realized the extent of Casey's injuries. He was transported to Mercy of Ada by EMS.

Mercy realized that Casey needed emergency surgery, and called for him to be transported to OU medical that night by ambulance. If weather conditions were not so poor, he would've been mediflighted.

OU medical operated on Casey and had to fuse c2 through c7 in his cervical spine. He was in ICU until Monday, February 4th. He will remain in some form of medical care for at least 30 days.

While Casey's condition has improved, he is still unable to complete day to day tasks by himself and is still requiring around the clock care. The money raised will go towards helping pay for medical expenses, and ensure that he will have a speedy recovery without having to worry about funds.
