Medical Relief for Haiti

Thank you for arriving at our fundraising page to provide medical relief to Haiti!
As many who are close to me know, I have always found purpose in giving to others. I've worked as a Child Ambassador for World Vision, been a long time sponsor for Compassion, and have recently been working for a non-profit organization in Compton, Ca providing mental health support for the homeless population.
About a year ago, my mom had just returned from a two-week long mission to Haiti, partnering with the Northwest Haiti Christian Mission to provide medical relief to those who didn't have access to medical treatment they so desperately needed. In those 2 weeks, 75 surgeries were performed. So many lives were saved! While this is truly something to be celebrated, it got me thinking about how many others are out there - not just in Haiti - that desperately need medical relief...and they need it right now. In doing further research, I've discovered that the surgery waiting list is around 500 people just in Northwest Haiti alone.
This sparked a sense of urgency in me, that time is not on our side when it comes to saving lives. I realized that if I started a non-profit organization, we could impact so many more people in need - by extending our reach to more underserved countries and expanding our network of providers to be able to serve more than just medical needs. My mom, Kimrae, and I decided to turn this into reality.
Our hope is to partner with local missions in various developing countries to identify their greatest needs, and assemble mission teams to fulfill those needs: dental support, vaccinations, mental health, wellness. If there is a need, we want to find a way to serve.
We have partnered with the Northwest Haiti Christian Mission again this year, and are going on a mission trip January 25-February 8th 2017 to assist the team in providing medical relief to as many of the 500+ people in Northwest Haiti in need of surgery as we can.
This will be our first mission trip as an organization, and we couldn't be more thrilled!
The costs of this trip, as well as the costs of starting a non profit organization, are high. Currently, these expenses being paid for by myself and my mom, Kimrae.

All are welcome here, and all are equal. Love, serving others, and accepting each of us as equals are the cornerstones of our non profit.
