Medical Funds for Jacko Hill

Round 2

Two years ago, Jackson had an atypical meningioma removed from his spinal cord that spanned from C2-T2 (upper neck to upper back) vertebrae. Having to fuse the vertebrae, this limited Jackson’s range of motion severely. In spite of the adversity, he continues to excel.

A month ago, while undergoing his routine 6 month MRI, they discovered that the tumor has grown back more extensive and invasive than ever before. The treatment will require multiple procedures involving both back and frontal approaches through the neck. Much of the old hardware will need to be removed and replaced due to the diffuse expansion of the tumor. His first surgery is scheduled December 19th. He will undergo subsequent radiation to increase the likelihood of complete eradication.

The Hills are so extremely grateful for the help they’ve received and the multiple communities that have stood behind them in their hour of need. As is true with most of these situations, Jacko seems too “good of a kid” for this to happen to once, let alone twice. What lessons could he possibly learn that he didn’t already conquer from his first trial? Whatever the answers are, the fact remains that Jackson remains faithful and stalwart in facing the hand life has dealt him.
