It's a bit long , but detailed so you understand why I must ask for help. We all know medical bills are the absolute worst. You are going through an already tough time with your loved ones being unwell, but to top it off money struggles are added in the mix. When it rains, it pours. Unfortunately my oldest and one of my youngest dogs are both detrimentally ill.
Dakota (left in photo) used to be overweight. He had gotten an ear infection so bad and nothing worked. Multiple vet visits later they tried steroids. (alterior being surgery his ear is so blocked) This was not good because of the side effects and his weight, he had been diagnosed with advanced diabetes. He is on 6 Units of insulin every 12 hours. As we are managing this and just getting by, he seems to be drastically loosing his vision to see. This is also a side effect of the insulin/diabetes. Its heatbreaking to see your dogs eyes cloudy and he is having trouble seeing, and finding his treats. It got so bad out of no where and I am nervous he will loose his vision completely. The doctor says its cataracts. The surgery to fix this would be $3,000 per eye. 6 total on top of tests and vet visit costs.
My other dog angel (right in photo) has been diagnosed with heart disease a while back. She is currently dealing with cardiomegaly (her heart is the size that should be in a 30lb dog) We had lost our other dog a year and a half ago to the same disease. She was doing soo well but is coughing more and more now. This means her heart is most likely becomming more enlarged. The cardiologist is about $600. On top of other issues I won't get into, this is the worst time for money my family has ever delt with. It is just my mother, sister, and I.
This is sincerely our last option. We are selling most of the stuff we own just to make rent. I have never seen my mother so depressed. This is my only way to help because I am paying for school, and splitting the next visit with my sister. On top of other expenses. Please, any amount helps at ALL. I strongly believe this black cloud will pass, we just need a bit of help. ❤
