<div>A few weeks ago, there was a shelling very close to where Aya and her husband are currently living. Rubble and missile debris fell on them, leaving them both injured. We are heartbroken to share that Aya lost her baby a week after the shelling due to it's unstable condition and stress. It was Aya's decision to update her fundraiser and share her experience with the world. Aya is now seeking to raise funds for pain medication and a surgery for her husband who is in critical condition.

Aya is a 22 year old woman from northern Gaza, in need of evacuation before giving birth to her baby. We're seeking to fundraise $20K for Aya and her husband to evacuate Gaza, as well as afford basic necessities for their new baby and life beyond the Gaza border. <div>I'm Aya, 22 years old, and I'm pregnant...

<div>I was supposed to be shopping for clothes for my baby, choosing a name, counting the days with excitement, and preparing a warm and safe place for my child.

<div>Instead, I'm counting the times l've been displaced, the times l've miraculously escaped death, and the minutes my heart stopped with fear.

<div>I'm from northern Gaza. The first time we fled, I carried a small bag with some documents, some photos, and some clothes... I thought we'd be back in two days.

<div>But we never did.

<div>Every airstrike shakes my womb before it shakes me.

<div>We've escaped death more than once... but I'm not even sure I can call it survival. What did my fetus do to deserve this?

<div>Why did war steal my years, my home, and the joy of my pregnancy?

<div>Why has motherhood become fear instead of love and peace?

<div>I am Aya... and this story is not just mine.
