<div>So many of you are familiar with my cancer journey. I've used this platform before to fundraise for my medical and travel expenses, but this time it is so different. This time <strong>I'm asking for help for Milo, my golden doodle fur baby</strong>. He got sick on Wednesday, October 8th, and gradually got worse. Today, October 10th, I took him in to see the vet, and after lab work and x-rays, his doctor believes he has an obstruction of some sort in his intestines. I was sent from Brownsville to the Pet Doctor 911 animal hospital in McAllen. More than likely, Milo ate something he shouldn't have. <strong>His condition is very serious and he is likely facing surgery tomorrow morning to try and remove the obstruction</strong>. It is major surgery and it does come with the possibility of complications. I had to sign several documents, including one that asked for permission to perform CPR on Milo should the need arise. As if that was not stressful enough, I was shocked when I was given a written quote of how much it is going to cost to try and save his life. Somewhere in the neighborhood of $5,600-$8,500, depending on whether one or more incisions need to be made and the number of days that he will need to be hospitalized until he has recovered enough to go home. I don't have that kind of money, not even for myself, and I had not gotten around to getting pet insurance for him or Canela. My medical expenses have pretty much drained our life savings over these past 7 years. I know the responsibility that comes with owning a pet, and this has turned into my worst nightmare. I'm prepared to sell some of my camera equipment if I have to. Milo is my fur baby, and I'm going to do everything that I can to make sure he gets the care he so desperately needs.

<div>I LOVE all 3 of our fur babies; they are like our children and for me, they are my therapy dogs. Milo is the goofy, energetic one that always makes me laugh and cheers me up. He keeps my mind off my cancer journey worries. He truly is like my therapist. He's so good for my soul and I love him so much along with Dasha and Canela.

<div>I am supposed to be traveling to Houston on Sunday because I have CT scans on Monday and then meetings with my oncologist to decide if they are going to keep me on this clinical trial or bump me off and look for something else. The way I feel right now, I really don't care what they decide to do. I just want my fur baby to be well again.
