We are thankful for all of you who have taken the time to read, share, contribute, & continue to pray for Koen as he begins his journey to defeat cancer. We appreciate you all.
My nephew, Koen Salas, is an angelic 6 year old boy with so much enthusiasm. Who would've known that we would be here, creating a gofundme, for our little Roblox fanatic.
On Sunday, October 18, 2020, we received the devastating news that Koen was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL). This is a type of cancer in which the bone marrow makes too many immature lymphocytes (a type of white blood cell) and is also a cancer of the blood and bone marrow. This caused other side effects to occur, severe anemia being one, which lead Koen to undergo numerous blood transfusions. Koen will need to seek off-island treatment immediately. Our family is asking for your support to help with medical and travel expenses for Koen and his parents. Your donations will be used towards the cost of Koen's treatments, medication, travel expenses, incidentals, and any required surgery.
