MAYO CLINIC MISSION: MARCIA

Hi, my name is Marcia Spano-Wardrop,  I am 35 years old.  I have been sick most of my life.  I have multiple autoimunne diseases, Graves disease, Rhuematoid Arthritis, and now recently diagnosed at the Mayo-  RIS (MS before any symptoms) and Fibromyalgia not to mention my other health issues that affect me daily. l need to try and prevent myself from becoming crippled and unable to function daily, the medicine that works for most has failed everytime for me and/or almost killed me!  My body reacts differently to medication than most!   I have to go back to the Mayo Clinic many times because they still don't know how to treat me! The doctors want to find out how to slow the deterioration of my bones and figure out what medication might work without causing more harm. They also want to figure out why my Graves disease and health is so unstable and to keep an eye on the lesions that have started to move into my spine. I have always worked hard. I helped raise my siblings when I was 18 and niece and nephew when my family fell on hard times!   I worked multiple jobs to pay bills and keep a roof over their heads and them together as a family!! I have been working non-stop but it is getting alot harder with my body crippling.  I need to slow the progression of my diseases so I can stay alive and enjoy the time I have with my family!  This  appointment is very important!
