Medical fund for Russ Olmstead

I'm a 42-year old guy with EDS, Ehler-Danlos Syndrome. EDS is a group of inherited disorders that affect your connective tissues (mostly your skin, joints and blood vessel walls).  There's no cure, just coping mechanisms.  I've been dealing with EDS for a number of years, but recent developments have made it harder to cope financially.

I got some pretty rough news today. I am in need of $8,000+ in dental care.   I have dental pain almost all the time and have for several years, but I didn't realize how bad it had gotten.  EDS patients frequently have dental anomalies, because it can affect both the surface and the core of teeth.   

According to my dentist, I need at least three crowns, a bridge and possibly three root canals, all at the same time.  (This is in addition to the three crowns, two root canals, extracted tooth, and lots of fillings that I already have). One of the teeth has already broken and is literally crumbling into chalk in my mouth.   Yay, EDS!

This GoFundMe will cover that dental work as well as the extra sedation I will need.  This will allow me to stabilize the current issues and allow for additional fillings as needed.  

I have a job and health insurance, but this dental work is more than that coverage can handle.  I hate asking for help (you know me), but I've had my arm twisted and have agreed to at least put this out there.  Anything you can contribute will help.  (And if you'd like to get one of these root canals for me, that'd be ok, too.)
