Hello, this is a photo of a very good friend of mine...Renae Suzanne Martinez; she is 49 years old and is the sole provider for her 6-year-old daughter. Renea has been recently diagnosed with Pulmonary Hypertension and needs help!
Renae has had one stint put in, but now needs more stints and arteries in her arms cleared to alleviate a potential heart attack. She is unable to afford her stints and the medical care she needs because she is not able to work. The medical costs are rising and rent, insurance, etc. still comes due each month.
Renae is a single mom who within the last two years has fought hard to be independent and self-sufficient.
I am asking my friends to consider helping her with medical and living costs so that she can get the .stints she needs, recoup and still pay rent and living expenses for the time it will take to recover.
Renae’s story is a difficult one to hear; she has overcome many obstacles these last two years and in her life. Two years ago, Renae was homeless with her daughter and living in a park. Today she is settled, with a job and starting to reap the benefits of all her hard work. Her recent medical problems has halted her forward progress and she is determined to not move backwards.
I will post a video of her story as soon as I can find it so that you can truly understand how far she has come in the last two years. The video was produced by a local church in Houston - Community of Faith (COF and shows her homeless in the park – describing how she got there and what steps she took to leave the abusive situation she found herself in. You will see the resilience and faith she has in God.
