Hi my name is Jolene Talmadge Hoffman, I will be 36 years of age as of September 16th. Mother to two. Charles IV, age 14 & Haley 13. Married to my husband Chuck for 15 years. My family and I enjoy the outdoors such as hiking, biking,camping, disc golf, and archery together. I enjoy gardening and dog training as well. I am temporarily unemployed until August, 2017. Not approved for disability due to working part time & coaching archery on the side.
In December of 2016 I started experiencing pain on right side of pelvic area. I waited until March 2017 once I started experiencing pain in right breast. OBGYN felt a lump on pelvis & a small lump on right side sore breast.
I was then referred to the radiologist. They did an ultrasound on breast & pelvic/ adomin area and confirmed 10cm mass on right ovary & 3.2 cyst right breast. I was then sent to get a mammogram & fine needle biopsy. (Turned out benign)
Had a breast MRI in May and the results determined. Right breast cyst is "possibility benign.".
I was told I needed radiation for the entire month of May to try and reduce the size of the mass in my pelvic/abdominal area, before surgery; which brought the pelvic mass down to 4.2cm. I can now have a laparoscopy hysterectomy. Instead of adominal incision! Surgery is scheduled Tuesday August 27th.I will owe $1,000 deposit (which, I have already paid $700.00. It will be considered an inpatient surgery, with insurance I will owe $5,100.
I am hoping to coach up until I have surgery and start back up 2 weeks after surgery.
I met up with the breast surgeon and we are going to wait 8 weeks until I'm completely healed before going threw with another surgery. Not sure on how much that will cost until it gets closer to that time. My goal would be to get my out of pocket medical expenses covered as much as possible.
