On Friday, September 15, 2017, surrounded by people who love her, my sister passed away. I can't begin to describe the range of emotions I feel right now. She will be missed dearly.
Her laugh, her loving eyes, the way she treated every person blessed enough to have known her ... will forever be in our hearts and minds.
As long as we are alive, we will carry a piece of my sister with us. Her light burns on in her children, her family, and her friends.

Last year, my sister was diagnosed with signet-ring cell carcinoma. She went in for routine gall-bladder removal surgery and the surgeons discovered abnormal tissue growth. Our lives have not been the same since.
This cancer is very rare and very aggressive and my sister has undergone several surgeries, as well as rounds of chemo in order to fight its spread.
My sister's youngest, Sophia, is 7 years old. She gives her every reason to fight.
Expenses add up. Medical bills come due. We're determined to give it everything we've got. If there's anything you can contribute to help us reach our goal, thank you; our family is eternally grateful.
