Memorial fund for David Stokes

Two days after their 25th wedding anniversary, David was diagnosed with Non-small cell, Stage 4 Lung cancer.  Due to the aggressive nature of the tumor, David's health declined quickly and was hospitalized on the day his first radiation treatment was scheduled. He recovered enough to go home and resume his radiation and immunotherapy treatments.  There are so many health issues that come with this diagnosis that prevent David from returning to work.  It came on so quickly that he had no time to prepare financially for his family.  David is self employed and his wife, Leslee continues to balance work and caring for her husband and three children who all are in college and away from home.

After serious consideration, we decided to start a GoFund Me campaign for David and his family.  I think, in most campaigns, the recipient has difficulty asking for help, so the big sister has taken the reins and is asking for your help.  The funds from the campaign will be used to help pay their mortgage and insurance co-payments and additional medical expenses not covered under his health insurance.

Giving David the ability to focus solely on this fight with the cancer and relieve some of the tremendous stress of being financially insecure at this time is the goal of this campaign.  Please consider donating any amount to help support Leslee, David, and the boys as they fight this terrible disease.  Thank you - Tracey
