Medical Fund for Cindy Nicoloff

To those of you that don't know, our mother, Cindy Nicoloff, has had quite a battle with cancer. She has been fighting this terrible disease for the last five years. In the past, she has beaten breast cancer. However, at the beginning of this year she was diagnosed with rectal cancer. She did chemo and radiation and worked full time up until a week before her surgery. They removed the tumor and left her with a colostomy bag for six weeks.  She had a tough time after this surgery.  She was hospitalized three times and in the middle of all of this had to have emergency surgery to get her gallbladder removed.  Since then she has constantly been fainting and falling down.  Unfortunately,  after numerous tests we have come to find out that the rectal cancer has spread to stage four liver cancer.  This is a very aggressive form of cancer.  Surgery is not an option and she will once again have to go through chemo and radiation.  She has also lost her ability to walk due to the toll of all the surgeries and treatments she has had to endure.  

Last week we transferred mom's care to the Cleveland Clinic so that she can have a team of doctors make the best decisions for her. They recommended that she goes through intensive physical therapy, where she will stay for a month, to help her regain some strength back while continuing her cancer treatment.  

 Our mom was planning to go back to work after the rectal cancer treatment but is unable to due to the diagnosis of liver cancer. This has been an extremely emotional and financial hardship on our family. We are reaching out to all of our wonderful friends and family to help us raise funds for medical and living expenses. This will help her to focus on her treatment and not have to worry about paying all the bills. Please reach into your hearts and help our mother so she can become healthy and strong again.
