In 2020, my Dad defeated Leukemia, and since then his health has declined to leave him not being able to work and give up the things he loves to do like darts, fishing, and riding his motorcycle.
6 months ago he spent a week Intubated with Pneumonia in his right lung, and he spent a couple of months in rehab learning to eat, walk, and do stairs again. In March of this year, he went to the hospital for pancreatitis and it led to him being on the death's doorstep with not being able to breathe.
On March 31st, they brought him up to the ICU and intubated him again and that's where he's been since then. He's had a multi-organ failure and needed dialysis, and a pacemaker to bring him back a few times. He has come a long way with being awake, having me do physical therapy for him, and him communicating what he wants with everyone, but his pancreatitis set him back this past weekend and it has left him in an uncertain situation.
The doctors say that they want to continue to do surgery to remove the infected piece of the pancreas, but within the past 10 hours, he has flat-lined 3 times. The doctors say that they don't think he can make it through the surgery, but my dad also told me that he wants to continue fighting. I really hope these funds won't be used, and that he'll pull through this. Money to help with my travel expenses for going to and from VA and CT, and my dad's final expenses. Any and all will be helpful.
Thank you for taking the time to listen, share and donate.
