We are fundraising for Theresa’s medical expenses. Our daughter has been diagnosed with a brain tumor. Her doctors said that she has a very aggressive Tumor -Stage 3 Oligodendroglioma. As her family we are trying so hard to make sure that Theresa and her Husband, Jake does not have to worry and stress about medical expenses for Theresa. This is very hard for Theresa and the whole family to in. Anything is appreciated to help Theresa and Jake during this time. Update: 01/03/2022- Theresa is getting new scans of her tumor and we are hoping for good news that it’s shrinking. Keep her in your prayers. Battle is not over. But she will beat cancer!!

Update: 10/27/2021 - This is week 3 of Radiation. So far Theresa has been the perfect patient. She has been doing real good with treatments so far. Has some eye sensitivity after each session of radiation. Very little to no point of having seizures at this time. The medicine has been helping greatly. We are three weeks away from radiation treatment of being done for the moment. Again, can not say this enough, we are very thankful and blessed for everyone that has donated, sharing this post, and all the prayers for Theresa. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts.
Update: 10/06/2021 - Theresa had to have scans done today to get ready to start treatment on Monday. Now finding out that the name of her tumor has been changed due to the previous labs that have come back. She has a tumor called Oligodendroglioma. These tumors are malignant and can spread quickly to other areas of the central nervous system. Doctors have called us this morning and inform us that the way Theresa is going to be treated is going to help with this tumor and even open more doors for treatment for her. This tumor does effect the central nervous system. We also have noticed to that she has been having seizures. This tumor causes seizures, headaches, weakness on one side of the body to another, balance and movement problems, along with memory problems as well. She is not allowed to drive due to she has been having seizures. She will have to do labs every Tuesday each week along with Monday thru Friday Treatment. We are very thankful for hard working doctors that are help with us to make sure that she gets the best treatment and course of action to fight this.
Update: 10/04/2021 - We finally have spoke with the oncologist regarding plan of treatment on fighting this tumor. Theresa will be doing Radiation 5 days out of week - Monday thru Friday. Also taking Chemotherapy daily from home. With this type of brain tumor, the doctors have to fight this aggressively to stop the growth of it. The Oncologist is making her wait another week to start due to needing just a enough time to heal from having the biopsy that was done on 09/16/2021. But excited to know that the doctors are on our side of fight this tumor head on.
We have found out that each estimated treatment between 3 week or 6 weeks can range up to $20,000.00. We are happy to know that the oncologist takes the insurance that she is on currently for the time being will help with some. Note that each donation has helped this far, and we are very blessed with the support of family and friends and the community that is helping Theresa fight this! We all have her back and for this that helps her know that she can beat anything head on.
